Mariano Gonzalez Chavajay with his wife Vicenta Puzul de Gonzalez. They both wear traje [traditional dress] typical of San Pedro la Laguna.

Mariano did paintings for a Maiz calendar showing maiz [corn] for each of the twelve months of the year.

Vicenta working on the Mercado de Noche painting pictured below. It is the first painting that the two of them have signed together. This is a milestone for Vicenta because it indicates that her husband is willing to let her come into her own as an artist.
